Cookie Policy

This website is operated by Explicit Selection B.V., a Dutch private company with limited liability located at Klein Heiligland 10, 2011 EG Haarlem, Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 68205074. This policy explains how cookies are stored on and read from your devices through the website. For questions, contact info@explicitselection.com.

1. What are cookies ?

Cookies are small pieces of information (in the form of text) that a server sends to the browser, with the intention that the browser returns this information on subsequent visits. Cookies cannot damage your devices or stored files.

2. How does Explicit Selection use cookies?

We group cookies into three categories.

Strictly necessary

Required for the website to work and to remember the choices you make about cookies. These cannot be switched off.

Functional

Remember an action you have taken so the site behaves the way you expect. On this site, the only functional cookie records that you have submitted your details to unlock the full version of one of our reports, so that you do not have to enter them again. It is set only when you submit that form — that is, as a direct result of your own request — and it stores a simple flag, not your email address.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure how this website is used. Where you have consented, Google LLC processes this information on our behalf as our processor. Google Analytics is configured so that it does not store your IP address and is not combined with Google advertising products.

This may involve transferring data to the United States. That transfer relies on Google's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, supported by Standard Contractual Clauses as an additional safeguard. More information about how we handle and store data is set out in our Privacy Statement.

  • Strictly necessary: the Consent cookie remembers your cookie preferences (12 months).
  • Functional: the Reports cookie records that you unlocked a report so you aren't asked again (12 months).
  • Analytics (Google Analytics, set only after you accept): _ga distinguishes individual visitors and _ga_VH393PG1C6 maintains session state. Both last up to 2 years.

Cookies we do not use

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks or use it to track you across other websites.

3. Can I disable or delete cookies?

Configure your browser to prevent future cookies. Instructions are available for Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera.

If you disable or delete cookies, it is possible you will no longer be able to access (parts of) the website or that the website does not work optimally. Actions affect only the specific device and browser used; repeat steps across different devices as needed.

4. Privacy Statement

Information collected through cookies containing personal data falls under the privacy statement of Explicit Selection.

5. Can this cookie policy be amended?

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. When we do, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.

6. Contact

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, contact us at info@explicitselection.com.
