What is ALP?
Account Level Processing (ALP) or Account Level Management (ALM) is a powerful capability that enables real-time changes to a cardholder’s membership tier. Whether upgrading to platinum for increased spending or downgrading when necessary, without issuing a new physical card. This agility is particularly valuable, as higher-tier cards typically generate greater interchange fees, allowing issuers to capture additional revenue more quickly.
What makes ALP especially compelling is the seamless customer experience it delivers. Cardholders can instantly access new benefits without the inconvenience of updating card details across multiple services or learning a new PIN. This behind-the-scenes efficiency not only maximizes revenue opportunities for financial institutions but also strengthens customer satisfaction and loyalty.
