Het Financieele Dagblad (Dutch Financial Times) awards the FD Gazellen annually to fast-growing Dutch companies that demonstrate at least 20% revenue growth over three consecutive years, combined with a positive net profit and a healthy financial foundation.

6th FD Gazellen award, March 2026

When Explicit Selection was founded, we had an ambition to put our extensive knowledge of the payments industry to work. We built a relationship with payment networks, banks, and investment companies to help them with the development of their financial digital products. Our work and focus changed over time, partially because of the need of the market, and partially because of our own ambition.

We created KYC/AML solutions, onboarding platforms, and even our own AI platform. And on the consultancy side, we read thousands of pages of documentation on rules, regulations and product features. Which we then analyzed to identify gaps and offer useful support and guidance to improve and renew, to help our clients stay relevant.

Over time, the nature of our engagements deepened. Our role shifted from technical author of implementation guides and technical specifications, to that of trusted advisor. From documenting what the industry had decided, to helping shape what it decides next.

That evolution was the result of trust, built engagement by engagement, over years.

We thank our clients, partners, colleagues and industry peers for their trust, and we hope we can celebrate many more awards to come.
